Born out of a sheer desire to see improved digital skills on the boards of charities matched with the passion of the technology sector to improve the world in a dynamic and productive space, The Social Change Agency and Peridot Partners bring you GetWired, the first UK digital trustee Unconference.
GetWIRED is going to bring 20 of the best charities with 20 of the brightest technologists, digital gurus and tech investors together and explore how to keep them together in a way that is entirely led by the participants.
No bystanders, observers or non participants. This event is by invite only to ensure the most committed charities and brightest and most passionate modern minds are coming because they want to contribute and make a difference.
GetWIRED will open with a Digital Future Shock from Henry Warren, Director of Learning and Innovation at Pearson PLC. Henry is an expert in digital innovation and digital transformation and has experience, as a Trustee of CIVA and founder and leader of the charity Gemin-i which uses IT & Innovation to improve education across the world. We will also have a warts an’ all, frills and thrills fireside chat with Jo Wolfe, Digital Lead at Breast Cancer Care who also has experience of leading digital strategy at Girlguiding and vInspired. There will be some serious brainpower work in-between and like all good meetings of minds, we’ll end with drinks and a vision of a better future.
Date: 4th Nov, 2015
Location: Balderton Capital, The Stables, 28 Britannia Street, London WC1X 9JF

Taking place in the heart of London and in close proximity to the NCVO Trustee Annual Conference in Kings Cross, London.
If you are a charity Chief Executive Trustee, or in a leadership role with involvement in recruiting Trustees, and you want to give digital technology real prominence in the future development of your organisation, yet you are not convinced that your board understand the difference between Facebook and Instagram or platform based marketing and software as a service, then you need to be here.
Maybe you are a small charity who wishes that you had your own ice-bucket challenge, but struggle with how to utilize YouTube? Or perhaps you are longing for some ideas about how to use digital technology to help achieve competitive advantage? You need to be here too.
Of course we also need strategic digital and technological leaders, people involved in modern branding and marketing, and people who are leading online communities or involved in investing in new technology. In other words if you are at the leading edge of modern technology and understand the potential for charities, and want to contribute to a cause you are passionate about whilst helping yourself and your career – we will find you a charity who recognises the potential for your contribution as a Board Member.
We work predominantly with charities and organisation with strong social values to recruit executive and non-executive leaders. We also work with Boards of Directors to help them to become better Boards. It’s all about improving leadership. www.peridotpartners.co.uk
